The Doctorate Honoris Causa was granted to Doctor Mario Villarroel by the Universidad Latinoamericana y del Caribe, with headquarter in Caracas, Venezuela.

On the 22nd of July of this current year, the Universidad Latinoamericana y del Caribe granted a Doctorate Honoris Causa to Doctor Mario Villarroel for his outstanding path in the humanitarian field. .
In this same event, Doctor Mario Villarroel was appointed Godfather of the First Graduation of Master in International Humanitarian Law in said University.
