Meeting summoned Panama by the International Federation to analyze the 2020 Strategy.

During the 16th, 17th and 18th of August, the meeting for the Strategy Study of 2020 for the Americas was held. To such event attended Presidents and Representatives of all National Societies. .

Afterwards was held the Meeting of the Inter-American Regional Committee of the Red Cross (CORI), where was taken the decision that the next Inter-American Conference of the Red Cross in Haiti shall be held in Haiti.

In a separate meeting, the creation of the Latin American Committee of the Red Cross was approved and the appointment of Dr. Mario Villarroel as its President by unanimous vote.
