XVI General Assembly of the International Federation of 
National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies

The XVI session of the General Assembly of the International Federation of National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies was held in Geneva, Switzerland, from November 20 to 22, 2007. The General Assembly is the supreme agency of the International Federation, involving delegates from all member National Societies. The Assembly meets every two years and determines, among other important issues, the general policy of the organization. On this occasion, the Assembly was chaired by the President of the Federation, Mr. Juan Manuel Suárez del Toro.
